Better be prepared…

Recent news of the death of a local personality emphasized for me the need to plan ahead to make sure surviving family will be provided for when I’m no longer around.
I had already submitted my next “Our Town” article and the news brought home how timely the information in the article will be. The summary is:

No one knows when he or she will die. For the survivors:
Specifying guardianship for surviving minor children is important.
Life insurance is important.
A will is important.

If you have dependents, don’t procrastinate on these.

Aside from those, and nearly as important, is disability insurance.

The full posting, “To Serve and Protect”, will be up soon.
